Wayne X Mike Posner.
Once I throw on this. ITS OVER GIRL.
Its always a great feeling to see your folks get on. I have mentioned the cats over at street etiquette numerous times, they are really carving out their stake in the fashion world. I put up a post about Mara a while back but if you havent gotten her EP, “From Her Eyes” get on that. Its for sure some ballet for the ears. If you dont believe me, watch the video. Well, watch it either way. Check Mara Hruby out
If the name wasnt enough, the swag is. This man is wet there is really nothing else that I could say. Its nonchalant, easy, effortless. Im a fan.
The video is pretty sick, the storyline is classic and the execution is interesting. Enjoy. You should slide thru to the show to see him and my boy @DuckworthSpeaks perform
I have always been a fan of R Les. and Fab is fab, since Superwoman like he says. I love watching in studios. Its a unique moment to witness the creative process in full swing. This is why I would ever consider doing music. not for the groupies, not for the fame not for the doe, just to sit in the studio and hear a beat for the first time and know thats good be everyone outsides favorite song.
If you know me you know I always show love for my Caribbean roots. Real Rude. Its nice to see Gyptian getting love from NPR. I have come across serval different NPR clips online that have really impressed me. Its not to say that I had the correct image of what NPR was about, but honestly my greatest exposure to NPR came through my gma. Shes cool but i mean, she a lil dusty too. No Offense.
Either way, this is a nice lil version of the song where you can really catch his voice, sounding real smooth over the acoustic guitar. Whats most telling to me is the fluidity of dancehall as a genre. Its a freestyle flowing type of music, and here you see Gyptian going thru the verse of the song but also throwing some extras on top. Not just lettuce and tomato, but grilled onions, cheese and extra crispy bacon. Enjoy

I gotta show love to the folks, all day. My mans Bobby Brackins just put out an EP called Live Good 0.5. Dl that, if you question him living good, just look at Rosa Acosta. #Boom

Get on iTunes and buy this EP, or….. “Live Good 0.5“
So the best way to describe my hiatus is a fast. i have been fasting from blogging, actually living life (fancy that). I apologize for the neglect but as they say, shit happens. I feel it fitting to come back to Black and Orange. Its what the city needed and we Giants will go down in history as champs. Key the fat lady. We out here.
This video has me conflicted. On the one hand it is obviously a telling story, one that can inform everyone of the privilege of their own lives. Ya, I see that. But at the same time, it is the same story. Of course there is an African dude living in a dump. Of course he has to struggle to make it out of their. Of course he wants to be a rapper. Of course he cant be a rapper because he got too drunk, acted primal, just like them backwards blackies do and beat the shit out of his own friend. Of course. I mean I could be being cynical, but Im sure you could find this story or a more riveting one, that was not such a trope.
Either way, best of luck to Vocal Slender, and I hope he makes it.
